Tapas Bar in the area of Lavapiés (Central Madrid)

Tapas y Fotos

A spacious bar, with Miguel Pérez Pardo’s collection of photographs and other photographic exhibitions, where you can savour traditional Spanish tapas (salmorejo, hortelano chicken, escalibada etc) and listen to music – blues and jazz from the 1950s to the 1990s.

Details:

New tapas bar in Lavapiés. You can find it in a small, hidden street, 7 Doctor Piga, behind Argumosa Street;  it is a spacious bar in a century-old house in the heart of this colourful neighbourhood of poets and artists. Enjoy Carmelita peas, hortelano chicken, delicious salmorejo or papas arrugás and more, either as tapas or full dishes; a menu of classical Spanish cooking. The bar is a photographic puzzle; a journey through half of Miguel Pérez Pardo’s life shooting photos, mainly musicians and portraits of people. The music ranges from blues, jazz and Anglo-American bands from the 1950s on to 1990s to flamenco, Brazilian and other styles.
